![]() We host weekly events for our members and the greater Denver community. ![]() Tell us about Archipelago – what should we know?Īrchipelago is a participatory community. Although I am choosing to be rather vague here, I’ll say that I had to do what many of us have to do break through the deeply woven stories of who I thought I was and allow myself to soften into being. By the middle of 2017, I was deep within a “dark night of the soul,” but I held the vision that crisis precedes transformation and I was more ready for a chrysalis than I ever had been before. Although living a nomadic lifestyle provides a certain sense of freedom, it is also extremely ungrounding with visceral uncertainty. But those were years of extreme highs and extreme lows–with little to no stability. On the outside, my life during 2013-2018 probably looked amazing and a lot of it was. I choose to live in a state of gratitude, love, and joy but it took some time to get here. Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome? ![]() Three months later, in June 2018, we launched Archipelago. Two months after meeting Jason, I joined the team with Jason, Jared Marquette, and Ryan Boykin. It was through working with Summit Series that I met one of my partners at Archipelago–Jason Shepherd. While traveling and farming I also began diving deeper into the event production world and got my first on-site contract for one of the most innovative entrepreneurial communities in the world–Summit Series. After completing a full season apprenticeship at Waterpenny farm in Virginia, I made my way to South America, where I visited and lived in intentional living communities and spiritual communities. I was both obsessed with food systems and the communities that were at the heart of this movement. I began diving deeper into the food movement and after graduating got my first taste of farming in Colorado. While in college, my focus shifted towards ethnographic studies of communities. In my younger years, I did this by hosting fundraisers, blood drives, concerts, parties …really anything I could. I have always had a deep affinity for gathering people together. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far. Today we’d like to introduce you to Nora Claire.
